Well, I said I would keep you updated on the bedtime routine! Yea, things haven't been running so smoothly! Sunday night I didn't get to bed until 2:30am. Faith didn't have her nap that day and still managed to stay up until 11 and Mariah followed at about 11:30. And last night wasn't any better. I made sure they had an early nap so that when it was time for bed, I wouldn't have any problems. They sure tricked me! I just knew that I would be able to relax and spend time w/ my husband. Oh well, maybe tonight will be better!
I will work at this, just like anything else, until it finally works. I will not give up. Phillippians 1:6 comes to mind; "He which hath begun a good work in you will perform (completely fulfill) it until the day of Jesus Christ." I will lean on this verse as I go through this process of setting this schedule.

Bedtime
The last couple of nights have been a little crazy! My 2 and 3 year old girls didn't get to sleep until after 10:30pm. Mariah (2) has no problem going down for a nap during the day, so I'm somewhat confused as to why she hasn't been going to sleep earlier. Faith (3), on the other hand, doesn't always get a nap. She is just one of those kids that doesn't have to sleep during the day. However, I don't understand how she can stay up until the wee hours of the night.
So, I am trying to work out a schedule that we can all get used to. One that works for everyone. They usually wake up between 7-8:30, I put them down for a nap between 12:30-1 (for about 2 hours) and bedtime is supposed to be no later than 9. As you can see, there is no consistency to this schedule. Which is why I have come to the conclusion that I must be persistent. I am praying for God's help, because I know this is not how He wants it to be. So please pray with me as I work this out to benefit the whole. I will keep you updated.
God bless!

Why I decided to blog
I've recently been surfing the net looking at different sites commited to the family, and have come to the realization that people still view family as important. I believe that God ordained the family institute and it is His desire for us to stay together.
I have a large family consisting of dad, mom and five kids. With this many people in a 3-bedroom house it can get chaotic at times. And I have decided to share some of the ups and downs of a big household, while reminding people that if God is in the midst, it's not so bad.
As a mother of three little ones, I may not be able to blog daily, but I will be blogging as often as I can.
